Customer Reviews

Does the Job for less! I've bought 3 of these cables. The 1st one was to replace a $230 50ft hdmi cable that was sold to me by the company that I bought a projector from. Someone tried to swap devices and broke the head of the expensive cable, so I bought one of these to replace it and it worked every bit as good as the expensive cable. When we set up our 2nd theater room, I just went with this cable again.I have noticed that some blu-ray players work better than others as do projectors/tvs as far as sending/receiving signals over longer distances. The cable doesn't seem to make that much difference - So I'd go with this cheaper cable and still feel safe that it will work for you.PROS:The price is great. The cable is well made and thickPerforms every bit as good as the expensive cables.CONS:I did have one cable break that I used in a mobile set up. The cable got a short after repeated set ups and take downs - as long as you don't plan on moving the cable around a lot after it is in place you shouldn't have any problems. The cable was broken when an inexperienced person coiled the cable up after use and folded the neck of the cable next to the head at a 90 degree angle (tightly wound) the cable still works but I have to "jiggle" it a little to get the connection to work correctly...(Not the cables fault - but thought I'd mention in case you plan on using in a mobile set up)Side note:Sometimes if the tv or projector is turned on after the dvd player or whatever is sending the signal, I've gotten a no signal message. If I turn the projector on first or turn the dvd player off then back on the signal is picked up. Not sure if this has anything to do with the cable but didn't have that small problem with the expensive cable. 5Nothing like description; no product packaging or labeling and horrible. Item arrived quickly, but the packing was so insufficient that it couldn't be known whether I was buying new or used or have any indication what kind of HDMI cable it was. It appeared very cheap like it was made in a bad factory in China. It's not even the correct length. I literally was scared to plug it into my expensive devices. The item is described with such high esteem; but it is actually just junk. After hundreds of Amazon purchases, this is officially the worst, most disappointing purchase I've ever made. I would never purchase from this seller again. 1Solid Quality Cable - No Sound This cable fits into the connection ports solid, and is rugged. The cable gets a 10. But I had no audio when running from my PC to a big screen TV. This is not the cables fault - I run Win 7 64 bit, and Microsoft could not figure out how to run audio simultaneously to multiple outputs - although video is run to my PC screen and TV at the same time. This is solved by switching the sound output (through the control panel on your PC) to one or the other outputs. You have to switch it back when you want to use your PC again - so Microsoft gets a 1. Those clowns never cease to amaze me - it's always something. It also displayed my computer screen on the TV too big, so I could not see the task bar on the bottom of the screen to control my PC via a wireless keyboard. This was fixed by turning "overscan" off on the TV. This project turned into a pain in the buttuco, but now that it works, it is fabulous. The so called browser in my PS3 is worthless, hence my PC now taking over for anything internet related. Hope this review helps someone avoid the misery I endured. Now we watch past episodes of favorite shows in "full living color" - and even with sound - which is all I ever asked for... (Side note - maybe Windows 10 will get everything right - but by then, Google will be running that too. I wish I ran Google or Apple - Microsoft is such a cluster.) PS - my Android tablet would not show past episodes of shows on the TV because they required flash, which Android has a lot of trouble with - why not ? My PC handles flash with no problem - so life goes on, me and my PC, tablet, PS3, and big screen - now all finally working - but I need all 4 to do what I want. I thought when my new kick buttuco PC running Win 7 64 bit would take over, everything would be perfect - ha, still have the sound issue - but I can deal with the deficiencies of Microsoft, again - as I have since the days of DOS - and likely will forevermore. And Google - get a flash player for Android - spend some money and do something right for your valued customers. God sure loves clowns - He made so many of them. 5Very good price but it is not working for me yet I bought this cable to play video games using my iPad 2 mirroring it to my big screen tv. I hooked it up today to try it and found that the picture quality was perfect but, I also have a glitch in that about every minute the screen blacks out for about a second and then comes back to clear view. I have ordered a multi cable switch box with an amp in it and I will see how the cable does with the box hooked to it. The cable seems very well constructed and most likely the amp will correct the problem, (I hope) but being a 50' foot run I was concerned that it could be a problem but there are so many other 5 star ratings for it I felt it was going to work well. I saw one review that did say a booster box might be needed and he is right, and I would suspect that this will be true whether you pay $17 or $70 for a cable at such a long run. I would keep this in mind when placing your order and consider buying a booster at the same time as you order the cable. I found the one I have ordered on Amazon for less than $20 and I will update when I try the HDMI cable with the power booste unit. 2Good cable I have had no issues of picture quality with this cable. It conducts 1080i/p with no issues.HD quality all around, at a good price,..a better price than i could find locally, if i could even find one, or one that was built well. Not only could i not find this cable locally, or one of decent quality, but the ones i did find were FAR more expensive, shorter by a long shot -- not sufficient for the long run i needed, without using an inline connector between two 25 or 30 foot cables, which is just asking for trouble in signal quality -- and not built as robust as this cable.Good quality cable, no signal issues whatsoever & a great value.Recommended. 5Excellent cables at an unbelievable price! I have two of these 50' HDMI cables joined with a simple coupler, not an HDMI repeater, and the signal from my DirecTV HR24 HD DVR at 720p in my basement to the Samsung 720p native resolution LED in my bedroom is perfect. I had been using the Actiontec My Wireless TV WiFi / HDMI Multi-Room Wireless HD Video Kit which worked well but required frequent resets and it was something that my wife didn't want to deal with at all so I finally decided to take the time to run the HDMI cable and since two 50' lengths cost considerably less than one 100' length (most of which included a built-in HDMI repeater) I thought I'd get the two 50 footers and then add my own HDMI repeater if necessary but as I said, a simple coupler joining the two cables did the trick....couldn't be happier with this product. 5A good, lengthy HDMI cable for install use, this cable has performed fine since I purchased it. It is use in a mobile set-up, so it is connected and disconnected daily. It is well-built with no visible image distortion introduce. It is my main link from a computer to multiple screens on a stage in a corporate event setting, and aside from the cable being a bit frustrating, physically, because it is very stiff and will not lay flat, it performs just fine. That said, I would likely seek out a different cable that was a bit more flexible and easier to wrap/store (as other HDMI cables that we have are) should I purchase another for myself, however, I didn't see a reason to ding it because of an issue that will likely bother few other people. 4Beware! Only 1 of 4 works. The whole point of going to short cables was to clean up my theater system and remove excess cable while upgrading to a 4K HDR environment. Unfortunately, 3 out of 4 out of these cables fail to display an image. I thought I had an equipment failure until I pulled out several old original long cables, (Some over 6 years old) and everything worked fine. Even then, I second guessed myself and tried reversing these cables, wiggling connections, and swapping beyond belief. Once trying several other old cables, it was clear that these new cables had issues. 3 of 4 of the cables are useless. I guess I'm fortunate that I got 1 of 4 to work. That one special cable actually dispalys 4K with HDR video with no issue, the other 3, not so much, not even video/audio from an old blue ray player. So, is the "bargain" of a 4 pack really worth it? It would be if they all actually worked. Now, am I going to waste my time returning these? Probably not, time is precious and you can never reclaim it. Lesson learned, I just hope this review saves someone else the trouble. Perhaps I just got a bad batch? 2Good construction but too long for some uses. The cable is built with a decent quality feel and makes a good connection at both ends. The high definition signals that travel down these cables are time critical, and for some devices, fifty feet exceeds the length of time the signal can reach it's destination. An example is this. I ran this cable from a video switch box to a TV camera 45 feet away. The other end of the switch box had another fifty foot cable to the monitor. The time down the 100 foot total length of both cables plus the switch box made the color signal out of phase, and all the colors, including faces, were purple and blue on the monitor. For certain devices, you'll need an amplifier with these or any other long HDMI cables. 4Works great! We recently had a lightening strike that took out our HDMI cables. I replaced our previous one with this amplified one because the other would drop a signal over the 50 feet cable. This one is longer and with the amplifier have had no dropped signal. It works perfect. Would definitely purchase again and definitely a great price! 5
