    Incredibly Useful, Very Durable Indeed These are not inexpensive labels, but they are great quality (almost industrial strength), easy to use with Avery templates downloaded free from the avery.com website. I have used hundreds of them in a rental property and can say that they hold up incredibly well, even in many outside situations. I keep finding new uses for them. The adhesive is great - don't use them on something that would be ruined by removing a well-attached label. But I have used them successfully on glass, metal, plastic, cardboard, paper, even painted or stained wood surfaces, in damp places, as well. I have used all sizes of the Durable ID labels, and in cases where there are 4 or more labels on the sheet, I have a recommendation... since you don't have to print a whole sheet at once (you can print just one if you want, and keep the unused portion for later use), I would not attempt to pass the same sheet thru a printer more than 3 times, as the heat and motion can cause the labels to start to peel off into the workings of the printer...this has happened to me but luckily the offending sticker was removed from the printer rollers without leaving residue. But for normal use without subjecting the sheets to multiple passes thru the printer, they are absolutely wonderful. My only real complaint is that they are costly. 5Almost perfect. The labels appear to be more durable than the standard labels. The adhesive also seems stronger. However, this is a problem that I seem to be having. As I peel the labels off part of the adhesive seems to peel off of the labels. It's like the label is made up of three layers. You have the backing layer, the adhesive layer, and the label layer. It's like the adhesive layer was properly cut. After peeling the third label off put it on the product and it seems to be ok. I'll say that 90% of the Adhesive film seems to be on the label. Are they old? Are they defective? I don't know but we'll see. 4Far superior to regular Avery labels! These are the only labels I use and are worth the extra cost. Toner is fixed onto the surface by the laser printer and will not scratch off or fade (under water or in sunlight). They also adhere much better than regular Avery labels. I don't think Avery has decided whether to call them "durable" or "permanent" which is confusing.. They sell both. For this product, the description calls them "permanent," but the box says "durable." I had one of these on my front door for two years in full sun.. It never faded, and was very hard to remove. I previously used #5126 shipping labels, but the toner wipes off with little effort.. I had to cover the label with clear tape, which is just like printing on plain paper and covering with tape.UPDATE: I contacted Avery via their website regarding the 5126 labels.. Their response was super-quick! I had a new box of labels in 3 days! 5LASER PRINTER ONLY, not Ink-jet !!! The product is actually of the expected AVERY quality. However, it is not adequately described.Given the large majority of labels for use on both Laser or Ink-jet printers, the Amazon product descriptor that reads:"Permanent durable polyester ID labels for laser printer."should better be:"Permanent durable polyester ID labels for LASER PRINTER ONLY (not ink-jet).."The Avery packaging would also benefit with a similar emphasis. Unless one uses "economy" mode printing on an INK-JET, one gets easily smeared printing. I'll be returning mine. 3Don't order for inkjets! Note that unlike many of the other Avery specialty labels....this is for LASER only. I didn't notice because other Avery labels can be used in all printer types. Use these with an inkjet...and you'll get a smeared mess. Since so many labels are now multi-use, it would have been nice to have this pointed out in the product description. Really, they should just do away with this product. 3Not inkjet compatible This item came up when searching for 6572, which is compatible with both inkjet and laser printers. I thought the different product number was due to a larger quantity of labels in the package, but while the dimensions are the same, these labels are NOT designed for inkjet printers. 1These were NOT the same Avery labels that I purchased ... These were NOT the same Avery labels that I purchased in the store. They stuck together, jammed in the printer, and were generally a pain to use. They did work, but I had to feed each sheet individually...took me forever.The exact same Avery item, purchased at a local retailer, worked perfectly and fed through the printer without issue and did not stick together.The lower than expected price has a reason...quality is completely lacking. 3Not permanent or weatherproof Needed a permanent, weather-proof label product, and found the AVE6575 Permanent White Durable ID Labels. If you want a more durable label than paper for indoor use, this might fit your bill (such as trade show labels & signage), but to use this product in a weather-exposed environment would be a mistake. First of all, the surface must be clean for the adhesive to work. We even cleaned the mating surface with alcohol, to no avail. It was only a matter of an hour before the corners started lifting on our labels, adhered to a painted metal surface. Avery, if you're listening -- this product should have a security label adhesive, and a separate cool-laminate overlay to be a "permanent & weather proof" solution. Not a good solution for outdoor use. 1Best performing labels I have tried other labels trying to save money, but they don't work in my Hp printer and don't hold up to these labels..hands down, my printer loves these labels, prints beautifully, is water and tear resistant. Worth going back to just to avoid the aggravation of crappy printing or not at all. 5Great permanent/durable labels I have been looking for laser printable durable & permanent labels for marking Investigational devices. These labels are REALLY well done, I have printed several on my HP Color Laserjet & they work well.Pros:- Truly durable & water resistant- Very good price- Great template from AveryCons:- Occasionally the printer snags the edge of a label & toner doesn't get fully saturated (don't print all color on one of them)Overall I highly recommend these labels for permanent & durable labels. 5
