Number keys do not work on Note 9 or Fire Tablet What a disappointment. The keyboard is well made but it does not work correctly. I see other reviews with the same problem as I have. The number keys on the top row do not type numbers (0-9) . I have tried this on multiple devices (Note 9 and Fire Tablet). Also as other users said ' key combinations will frustrate touch typists' the layout is unconventional so some common keys require to press the Fn button instead of the shift. Also, keys for Android are missing, there is not Apps keys so you need to use your finger on the device to swipe to your apps screen. There should really be an app to deal with the key assignment and trackpad speed.Well, it's going back in the box to Amazon Returns. This keyboard needs a lot of improvements. 1Can Change Your Life (in a good way!) I have had this for about 2 weeks now. I absolutely love it. I wonder how I ever got along with out it. This little device will make you think about using your smartphone and tablet differently. I have a Android phone, and two Windows 10 tablets.I like to do alot of writing. So trying to write on my tablet and phone using the touchscreen keypad is a pain. But with this, typing is a breeze. I actually type better on this than my full size keyboard (I am a hunt and peck typist). If I am just typing a text of post on Facebook, I will still use my phone's keyboard. But for writing a report, essay, book, etc, this keyboard is much better. And the touchpad is a very nice touch. I do not normally like touchpads, because they feel awkward to me. But this touchpad is actually wekk designed and well constructed - very responsive, very accurate. For me, if I have to use a touchpad, I would rather use this one.The bluetooth connectivity is amazing. Once I programmed in (which is super simple) my smartphone and two tablets, switching back and forth to any of them is super easy. Just press the FUNC key and the number corresponding to the device you want to type on (1,2, or 3). The little blue light flashes while it connects for a couple of seconds, and then goes solid blue to show it is connected. And the connection with strong and reliable. No dropouts. I also like how by just opening the keyboard, it is ready to connect. No buttons to push or slide. And it also goes on standby mode if I leave my computer/tablet for a period of time to save battery, and when I return, I just press the FUNC and device number and I am back up and running. I also like that the keyboard will connect even before I log into Windows.Another nice addition is the nice back it comes with for storage of the keyboard. And of course, I love the metal construction.This is a real winner. I can write with ease now. No more glass touch screens. 5Perfect for travel This is a solidly built, metal frame keyboard. It's very durable and should travel well. th touch pad is a nice touch,, eliminating the need for a mouse. I found this keyboard much easier to use than previous keyboards I have tried. The fact that it can connect to more than one device simultaneously is a great advantage. Others have mentioned that it doesn't lock flat - it is designed to lay on a flat surface, not in your lap. Definitely a good purchase. 5Its what I have been waiting for. I am writing the review for the iClever folding keyboard. I bought this little guy in order to be able to send a nice email from my phone or tablet. Its almost impossible for me to send a email from my phone with any speed or accuracy thanks to my fat fingers. I have been looking for a folding bluetooth keyboard like this for some time. I needed one with a touchpad that would allow me to control other aspects of my tablet or phone. This seems to fit the bill wonderfully. Let me begin with construction. Construction seem to be on the outside mostly metal, I can only assume aluminum. The gray sliders that wrap around the hinges seem to be plastic. I was not as thrilled about that. But the hinges themselves when you open it up are actually the aluminum material. Once its unfolded you see the inside is made up of a black matte plastic. The keys show little to know fingerprints. The trackpad, which is a bit smoother, does tend to show your greasy cheeto covered fingerprints. I will give it a B+ in build. I only wish it had metal hinge protectors/sliders rather than plastic. In functioning, its as simple as it gets, well, for the most part. You charge it up, which doesn't take long. This keyboard can have 3 seperate profiles for 3 seperate devices. You can switch between devices as simple as FN + 1 or 2 or 3 bluetooth buttons right above the key pad. It is currently connected to my phone, an LG G6, and my tablet , an Asus Zenpad 3S. Both paired with no problem. The keyboard will work with IOS, android, and windows, and has a separate setting for each. This is to make sure that specialty buttons, such as the Windows key, or Android home button work appropriately. The keyboard size is small. But even with my large hands, I can still touch type on it. My only problem with that is home row colon/semi-colon button is half sized, making it hard to get a place on without looking. There area physical notches on the f and j keys to help you find your place. I did have an issue of touching the pad and starting to type in a completely new area. That was a bit annoying, but very easily fixed. There are many shortcuts for common operations on the keyboard for all operating systems, even media controls. The touchpad works great. It is responsive and multitouch. It has two standard mouse buttons below. I have not found any issue with that at all and is really the selling feature for this fold up keyboard. You really don't have to touch your phone at all when using this thing. Except to bring your phone or tablet off the lock screen. I have not found a way for the keyboard to bypass that, other than setting your device to unlock near this keyboard, which is a bad security move if I do say so. Both the keyboard and the touchpad worked with little to no lag. If there was any, if was far less than I could notice or even care. Works absolutely fantastic. The keyboard charges with standard micro usb. I don't know how long the battery will last with use on on sleep. With the current crop of wireless keyboards stating they will last months with out replacing batteries, I hope this will go about a month with infrequent use. It does come with a micro usb cord(a short one) and a nice carry bag. If you want to do a bit more serious typing on your tablet or phone, I HIGHLY recommend this. Its done everything I needed it to do and it does it well while looking good at the same time. It seems very durable, but only time will tell on that. I will let you know if anything changes over the course of the next few months. 5Pretty good bluetooth keyboard Originally, I purchased the Jelly Comb tri-fold keyboard and it didn't work out so well. It would constantly lose connection and it became frustrating to use. So, I saw this keyboard and it being almost double the price of the Jelly Comb, I expected it to work better. Well, it does...with a minor nuisance.I have a HD TV with an ASUS Chromebit that I use as my main computer and when I'm sitting in front of it at my desk, the keyboard works flawlessly without any problems. I'm about a coupe of feet away from my Chromebit attached screen but as soon as I get further away, I run into mouse input lag where I'm scrolling on my mouse pad and watching the pointer move really slow and jerky or sometimes, not even at all. Also, at a greater distance, I get repeating letters. So, for me, I don't recommend this keyboard if you want to sit on your couch and your computer is more than a couple of feet away from you.Other than that minor nuisance, I really love this keyboard. I can easily take my Chromebit and this keyboard with me on trips and hook up to the hotel room's tv and have a functioning computer with access to all of my Google stuff. Also, this keyboard has left and right mouse click buttons on the pad which the Jelly Comb didn't and when you don't have it, you realize how wonderful it is to have them.I highly recommend it. 4Excellent, solid, compact portable keyboard I tested the iClever IC-BK08 tri-folding Bluetooth keyboard in a couple of apps on an Android smartphone that's a couple of years old, updated to Android v. 6.0.1.Physically, the keyboard is slightly heavier (about half an ounce) than another one that I have used, but this gives it a solid, stable feel in use. The tri-fold design makes for easy closure and carrying; it folds up small enough to slip into a shirt pocket or smartphone slot in a purse. A clever magnetic closure automatically turns the keyboard off when it is closed and on when opened. Feet at each end of the keyboard can be lowered to make a low, stable stand. The aluminum back makes for a smooth, metalic finish and feel when it's closed. Once it had been paired, the keyboard connected instantly to the device after having been turned off.The keyboard is compact, of course, so that I had to be attentive to hand and finger placement when coming from a full-size keyboard. Typing with the iClever keyboard requires a bit of force to move the keys, but has a very solid feel, not the least bit flimsy. The spacebar in particular has to be given a definite push, not just a quick swipe. The keys have a noticeable travel. I'm a pretty good touch typist, but as with all small bluetooth keybboards, I had to type more slowly and carefully to avoid errors.Key arrangement and assignments are good overall. The B key is properly placed so that it can be typed with the left index finger, not the right. Having ' , " , and ? as Fn combinations on the L, ; , and ] keys, respectively, takes getting used to. The availability of copy, paste, and cut functions as Fn combinations on the 3-5 keys is convenient, though the standard Ctrl+C/V/X also work.The touchpad with left and right buttons at the right end of the keyboard proved extremely useful in brief testing. I like to type with as little need to take my hands off the keyboard as possible. I found that on my Android device, the mouse pointer activated by the touchpad was able to access menus and make selections, so that I didn't have to use the touchscreen. In some apps (but not Evernote, unfortunately), it is possible to use the touchpad to hold and drag to select text.I like this keyboard a lot, and I hope that it will hold up well as I get used to using it.UPDATE: After a few months of use, my experience continues positive. I recently bought a Note 8 with Android 7.1.1. I had no trouble pairing the keyboard with it, and found that now even in Evernote I can drag with the touchpad and left button to select text (whether that's due to an update in Evernote or in Android). I did develop a problem where keypresses were getting doubled, llikee tthiss. I went to the iClever support page and reported this, and got a quick response with advice that worked (basically unpairing, restarting Bluetooth or the whole phone, and re-pairing). So still a great tool, and good customer support as well. 5Great portable keyboard!! Well made, folds compactly and syncs via Bluetooth with no issues! I received the iClever keyboard a few days ago and was impressed by the design and quality. This keyboard feels hefty enough to be more substantial than normal tablet keyboards and the keys have a firm springy action. It opens and closes easily but firmly. When closed, it is very compact and fits snugly in the included pouch. When opened, it's smaller than a normal keyboard but not by a lot. It didn't take me very long to get used to the size when I'm typing. I'm really happy that this keyboard includes not only a touchpad, but also left and right click buttons which are located at the bottom of the touchpad. For my purposes, this eliminates the need for a mouse. I'm using it with my brand new Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 and found that Bluetooth setup was a snap. No problems at all and response time between the keyboard and tablet are very fast. I sense no lag at all. I'm very pleased with every aspect of the iClever keyboard and can see why it garners such high reviews. 5Great Keyboard WOW! This is a well-made, high quality item. The engineering that went into the folding mechanism is a marvel. It is such a convenient item to have when you need to write some longer texts or posts and all you have is your phone or tablet. Auto on/off, volume controls, playback controls, touchpad with left and right buttons, Android/Windows/iOS compatibility, 3-Device pairing; this compact keyboard has so many features packed in. Magnets keep the keyboard closed and is such an elegant way to do so. The only issue I have come across is that the apostrophe and question mark buttons are in different locations and are function keys. This trips me up whenever I need to use them. I'm just not completely used to that yet. Overall, I really like it. 5Good folding Bluetooth keyboard, but not perfect I bought both this item (iClever IC-BK08) and the iClever IC-BK05 (https://www.amazon.com/iClever-Backlight-Tri-folding-Bluetooth-Smartphones/dp/B018K5EJCQ). There are pros and cons to each. I have tried other folding keyboards, and I like the iClever keyboards best. That being said, I do have a few complaints. I don't like the size and quantity of keys on this model (IC-BK08). Although the keyboard is small and light (good for carrying in a small bag or purse), the keyboard is cramped, and I have average-sized hands. That makes typing slower than needed. Also, because the number of keys has been reduced, some of the frequently used symbols require some hunting and pressing multiple keys (for instance, the forward slash and backslash keys require pressing Fn + a key). The ideal keyboard in my opinion would be the IC-BK05 with a trackpoint in the middle of the G, H, and B keys like what exists on the Lenovo/IBM compact USB keyboards (https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-ThinkPad-Compact-Keyboard-TrackPoint/dp/B00F3U4TQS). The mouse buttons would be a little tricky, but maybe they could fold up/back or slide out. That would provide a full size keyboard with no funny key placements, plus mouse pointer capability. I currently carry both the IC-BK05 and IC-BK08 (for times when I need a mouse, like using remote desktop), which is annoying. If iClever made a full size folding keyboard with a trackpoint, I would certainly buy to reduce what I carry. 4Neat! I just got this little guy two days ago. I gotta say this is pretty neat, you can sync up to three devices. It automatically syncs when you open up the keyboard. Ive been using it for my cell because Im always getting spelling errors because of my big thumbs. I attatched pictures with a business card so you can get a sense of size. As for weight, hardly anything. The exterior is made of some durable steel, defintely not plastic. Not afraid of throwing this thing in my tote bag. The mouse feature is pretty great too. Fast respone, no glitches so far! 5
