Customer Reviews

Extraordinary Mic This is my 1st ever lavalier mic and I love it. The sound quality isn't great on my canon 80d so really needed this mic for better quality sound. I did some research and a great app to use with this mic for android and iphone is wave pad free. Just hook the mic to your phone then press record on the app and go. When I heard the quality of the recording of the mic it is amazing. It makes your voice sound crisp and crystal clear. I even tried using it while standing in front of the TV while it was on to see how well the mic would only pick up my voice and it did exceptionally well. Will be buying another one of these mics for my wife to have the greatest sound for our YouTube videos. One tiny problem was that the accessories were already out of the pack which was wierd. Would have given 4 stars but since the product was new and still in great working conditions I just gave 5 stars. Great product and I do recommend. Ask me questions and follow me on ig Real_Daboe or on Facebook Real Daboe 5Great and Inexpensive Microphone I really like this to help record my youtube videos. I use a Canon t6i and the clicking noise that happens during zooming in and out is quite annoying. This helps tremendously! The cord is super long (20ft.) and the lavaliere is very sturdy and made of metal. There's a switch that allows you to record your audio on either your camera or a smartphone. If you use the camera setting, be sure to have backup batteries (LR44) and to turn it off after use. I actually purchased extra batteries right here on Amazon for a really good price. All in all, I do recommend this microphone.5Poor materials, zero customer supportI bought this mic for iPhone videos. On my third time using it, the lapel clip (where the mic clips in) broke. I contacted customer support on their website with the following comment ____I bought a BY-M1 mic. I used it three times. The lapel clip (the circular part where the mic attaches) snapped, and the mic can no longer work on the clip. How can I get a replacement lapel clip.____ Three weeks later. Still no response. I'll do business with a different company that supports their product. I suggest you do the same.1Affordable way to improve quality of videos on the phoneThis microphone has dramatically improved the quality of my Facebook Live videos shot on a iPhone. The mic picks up the voice of the speaker quite well, which has been good since I shoot live in places where I cannot control ambient sound. It allows me to record in places with loud air conditioners or lights, and let's the voice come through clearly without the buzz.Although it practically eliminates the AC noise, I was disappointed that it does let in louder ambient sounds, including loud voices on the other side of a closed door.Quality issue: the clip broke the first time I used the mic. My subject broke it trying to clip it to his shirt.Be sure to read the instructions about leaving it in the "off" position to use it with your phone.4You get what you pay for...and no more.I wish I wouldn't have waited to plug this into my phone; tried it today, 34 days after purchasing it, so outside the return window, and the audio sounds like crap...must turn video player AND my computer to max volume to hear it, and only then can you barely hear it. I really wish I spent more money for more quality. Lessons learned the hard way.PS: The wind 'thing' falls off every single time I pick this up and clip it on. Not a big deal, as I won't be clipping it on again. Junk.1Could not be happier with this mic Could not be happier with this mic.For those of you, like me, who were unfamiliar with the need to have a powered mic for your video camera, this will solve that problem. My Takstar shotgun mic worked fine with my Canon Vixia video camera, but my other lav mic... nothing. Same, non-powered lav works fine with my iPhone. So yeah, for $17 this is a killer purchase. Sounds perfectly fine on playback as well. Hope it lasts... 5Perfect! I'm completely impressed with this mic. Nice long cord, works perfectly with my nikon 5200 dslr. The sound quality is very good. I'm an audio guy so trust me- this mic sounds good. I would probably tweak the highs down just a touch in post to eliminate a slight noise floor hiss, but that's being picky. The mic sounds great and I'm glad that this inexpensive option gives a result that sounds more expensive. 5You get a very solid build and great sounding mic for a ridiculously reasonable price If you want a very quality mic for less than pizza and wings, this is it. You get a very solid build and great sounding mic for a ridiculously reasonable price. Have used Lectro, Sony, Sure and more, and while the sound isn't exactly on par with the top brands, it is clean, clear, and manageable for every day production. One interesting note is, when this says omni directions, it is fully omni directional, so be sure to properly isolate the sound source.Using with an iPhone 6S and the FILMIC Pro app for video. 4Perfect accessory for iOS devices First, look at the price. It's cheaper than the Audio-Technica version of the same microphone. Next, look at the features and all the ways this microphone can be used. It can connect to Android and iOS based smartphones and tablets to enhance audio performance for video recordings. It can also be used with a DSLR camera as it has an option to be power driven (battery included) which takes away the need for a shotgun microphone when vlogging or doing reviews. Lastly, check out the cord! It has a 20' long cord - unheard of for most lapel mics. This allows you to walk around and do demonstrations on video without having to move the camera. No loss of audio as the microphone is attached to your lapel and moves with you.The audio pickup of this microphone is omni-directional and it definitely makes a positive difference when using it. I picked up this mic after doing some research for microphones I could use with my iPad and iPhone to enhance onboard sound. This one is perfect for my uses and at twenty bucks the price was right too.An excellent accessory I highly recommend!-----------------------------NOTE: If you go to playback a video you recorded using this mic and you don't hear anything, unplug it from the device and you should hear the recording.---------------------------5Really high quality mic with no more than 20$ you ... Really high quality micwith no more than 20$ you can get high quality sound.- with the switch you can use this mic with phones or with cameras.- it comes with long cable and clip for the clothes.- high quality sound with no need to edit. * the only down side that this mic don't have noise cancellation so you have to record in quit place to get that high quality sound. 5Boya Lavalier Microphone is worth every penny!I had been looking for a small mic that would be mac compatible I wanted something good so I purchased SmartLav for $85! Not worth it it feels cheap and the cord is very short plus it disnt work with my Mac I tried purchasing a splitter. Then I found the Boya lavalier mic!! It worked great out of the box and sounds great! It is easy to put together and the cord is very long, doesn't feel flimsy or cheap it is very good quality and sounds great when making YouTube videos which is why I purchased it, works with my Mac, iPhone and iPad and God knows what else.It is a great microphone and the price is right for $20 you can't go wrong it is better then all those expensive mic's out there.5The BEST Budget Lapel Mic?LOVE this mic. Works and sounds great with either a video camera with a mic input or a smartphone. I did a full review on my YouTube channel THiNKmediaTV.NOTES:* The cable is very long* It is powered for use with a DSLR or Video Camera (includes battery)* Probably the best budget lapel mic out!5Awesome Mic! This is an affordable Lav mic,and sounds great. I pair this with my Zoom H1, and have received a lot of compliments on the sound that I produce in my Youtube videos. The only downside is that it requires batteries. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend this mic, and I am considering picking up another one. 5Get it, you won't be sorry.I own a lot of mics and I do a lot of work on narrations and voiceovers. I most commonly use my Sennheiser mkh 416 and have experience with the best mics used in Hollywood such as the Schoeps series of mics and Sanken lavs. Honestly, and to my surprise, this is the best purchase I've made in microphones. I don't know how they managed to do it, but I plug it in straight into my iPod (the ones like the phones, but not the phones, and that still have an input jack for headphones) and I get a low noise and almost perfect sound which basically needs no EQ at all. But, I am also using it now as a voiceover mic even, getting the talent to get very close, and it sounds amazing. I use it more than any mic I have. And I keep the EQ imprint in my iZotope plugins. Whatever you want to use it for, it will work amazing. If requested I can upload some samples, but I can't believe it is as cheap as it is. I just but another half dozen just to have in case the mic ever gets discontinued or changed as happens frequently with mics. There is so much to say, but spend the 16 bucks or so and you won't be disappointed that's for sure.5A few things to note out of the boxI just got it today and was going to test it out as soon as my camera was charged. After putting the included battery into the mic, I realized there s no indicator light to tell if it s on or off. If it wasn t for needing the mic this weekend, I would probably return. Idk whether it s industry standard to include an indicator light but I think that s a major con for this mic. It would ve been ideal to have an indicator light that not only showed whether the mic was on or off but also notified you when the battery was low (i.e. green if on, red if battery low). Also the clip doesn t open very wide and it feels kinda flimsy, like it ll snap if I try to force it too wide. When trying to take the clip off the mic to switch orienation, it s so snug that I feel like I might damage the cable going into the mic from how hard I have to pull on it to get the clip off. 1 star deduction for those two faults so far.4You get more than what you pay for!Way better than expected for the price! Not only is the sound quality superb, but it's also amazing quality. Comes with metal battery pack that switches between camera and smartphone, one battery, pop filter, 20 feet cord, extended adapter jack, velcro strap and clip on microphone and battery pack. You really get a bang for you buck. For $20, no one can complain. It's great for interviews AND informative speaking. I personally think it sounds better without the pop filter but it's great to have it. Highly recommend for anyone who wants acceptable audio quality. Also the 20 feet cord seems way longer than it is which is always a good thing!5This is great for travellers to carry around. I am impressed with the quality of audio and easy to carry around when filming trainings. However, the clip did not lasts that long and it suddenly stopped working.Update: May 22, 2019So after few weeks of trying and being satisfied- it suddenly stop working. I tried to use it to different device to see what went wrong and until this very moment this Mic is no use at all. So, there you go folks, this is what we get for paying for less price. I thought I already found the best lapel mic. 2
