Just not long enough to be useful in front of you What I didn't like about this device was that it wasn't tall enough. It sits in the cup holder just fine...its sturdy...but can barely be any use when it isn't tall enough or have enough bends to set its self in front of you while seated in the car. Most cup holders are down in the console near the gear shift and close to your knees. 1Excellent Tablet Car Holder Excellent! it is exactly as advertised and does exactly what it is intended to do. This has been a life saver (for me) as I depend on a large screen to map my ways and I been looking for a table holder, suitable for a car, until I found this one. Great find !!. Even thou you give up one of your cup holder, it is well worth it if you want an excellent quality tablet holder. You can set it up any way you want for your better view, angle up or down, etc. Once set, it stays in place, doesn't vibrate and holds your tablet firmly in place. 5Where has this been all my life? I drive for a living and am new to Los Angeles. What a life saver! I'm driving a 2014 VW Jetta TDI wagon and it fits my needs perfectly with my 8" Samsung Tab S. Vibration is minimal, usability is unbelievable. Much better solution than any cd mount or dashboard mount. Recommend highly! 5Cool Concept, Well Made, Recommend. My husband "Had to have this" for a road trip we were taking, while I found it really annoying it is a pretty cool product. My husband drags his ipad around like a security blanket so to have a 13" ipad sitting between you in the cup holder it is a bit much. Cool concept, pretty sturdy product and I do recommend it if you have someone that just can not live with out having their ipad with them 1000% of the time. 5the build quality is great all around Don't let the fact that it's plastic deter you; the build quality is great all around. The portion that grips your tablet is identical to the part included with various other mounts from ChargerCity, Arkon, etc, and gripped my Microsoft Surface Pro 3 very securely. Vibration was relatively minimal compared to longer seat rail mounts.Unfortunately, and due to no fault of the mount, there wasn't adequate passenger clearance when using either front cup holder in my '14 Subaru Crosstrek. I use my tablet as an SDR radio scanner and wifi sniffer, which requires keeping USB devices connected to the port on the right. The protruding USB cable was very much in the passenger's way. Shifter interference was minimal (my car's an automatic), and I may've kept the mount if I didn't share the car with my spouse. 5The best tablet holder for your vehicle!! Better quality than I expected based on other reviews. Overall, I'd call it sturdy. The claim that it's vibration-free is a bit off base in my opinion though. I think the amount of vibration or sway you get is dependent on the size of the tablet you're going to use it with. On the admittedly bad Los Angeles freeways, my 7-Inch LG G Tab worked well in both portrait or landscape mode, only vibrating badly on the worst sections of the freeway. It certainly isn't rock solid though.When I upgraded tablets to the gigantic Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2", I was surprised to find that when I checked the included instruction sheet, my new device would fit in this holder. Got it all set up with the longer "feet" that hold the tablet and installed in my car, only to find that it swayed terribly on the freeway at virtually all speeds and all types of surfaces. I only used it on the way to work that day and kept my hand resting on the tablet to keep it stable all the way there. Won't be trying that again. Don't get me wrong though, I don't necessarily think there is anything wrong with the product, but you need to have reasonable expectations.One last note, I wish there was a better mechanism for tightening the "cup" into the cupholder. If you overtighten it, it clicks too far and caves in a bit. I didn't see any permanent damage from doing it, but there's no way to know when you're getting too tight. I was overly cautious after that because I didn't want to permanently break the cup. 4This was much cheaper than others I had considered but it was fantastic. I have a 4Runner I really wanted to review this item because it performed so very well. I used it to hold my tablet for navigation while traveling a very remote rough trail getting into the bottom of the north rim of the grand canyon. I really didn't expect this to work out very well. Most of these items had complaints of wobbling, not staying tight or other issues. This was much cheaper than others I had considered but it was fantastic. I have a 4Runner, I left the rubber lining of the cupholder in place when I put this in. Right off the bat I was upset because I thought the arms would be spring loaded to hold my tablet but they are fixed. There are several sizes of arms to mix and match to your tablet. I ended up just putting a rubber band on to hold the tablet in place. This stand was very solid holding the tablet for me. It was so easy to use and was rock steady despite the rough terran, Never came loose. Great for price but also just a great unit. Highly recommend. 5Worth it Fits perfectly on my iPad Pro 12.9 inch awesome product 5Best option for my iPad mini and great quality. I have always carried my iPad Mini cellular with me and laid it on the passenger front seat. This is the absolute answer to my needs. I get in the car, flip cover back on my iPad Mini and insert it cover still on, in portrait mode in the spring loaded holder, takes seconds. I made all adjustments to positions before putting iPad mini in stand. It was a little tight because I have a small HHR and the cup holder is in an awkward position. Once positioned, it works GREAT! Stand is very firm. I tightened it in position in cup holder. There is a flange on top that finishes the mount in the cup holder nicely. The iPad is in perfect position to use while driving. It is at my finger tips with my arm on the arm rest. I have phone, imessage, maps for GPS when traveling to places I don't know, settings and the balance of my apps in folders all along bottom of screen. I positioned it upside down due to location of my cup holder to make the home button at top of iPad. Home screen on my iPad is all available video apps to watch TV movies, etc. This is so when one of the Grandkids are with me, they can pop this out of spring loaded mount and watch TV etc., going down the road. I also have two iPad mini's mounted with identical home screens behind headrests in back that run off HOTSPOT on this iPad. I call my car the Apple Car and it is Apple red as well. This stand enabled me to have the most up to date electronic setup in my car for a fraction of the cost of factory installed and I can move with me if I get another car. or even if I ride in someone else's vehicle. 5
