Customer Reviews

Solid quality cable that is incredibly reliable. I had read a lot of horror stories about long HDMI cables breaking or malfunctioning after a certain amount of time. I have had this cable for many years now and it has not faltered once even though it is constantly unplugged and plugged back in to various devices at the other end of a long room. I would say this cable has certainly been stress tested in my set up. The 30ft cable has been perfect for what it was purchased for and it is of top quality construction in my opinion. I would not hesitate to purchase this brand of cable again. 5Outstanding Value! I recently bought a new HP desktop computer with HDMI output and thought about connecting it to my 40 inch 1080i LG HDMI TV in addition to my monitor so that I could view pictures and programs that I recorded on the computer as well as DVD's. The only problem was that my PC sits on the other side of the room from the TV and HDMI cables are outrageously expensive even for short runs.On some advice from a friend I looked online to see if I could find something reasonable and decided to give this cable a try. For $20 bucks I figured it was worth a shot. I was a little concerned about running the signal over 30 feet but I am extremely pleased with the results. The picture on my TV is just as good as my 20 inch widescreen monitor. I've tested the connection with pictures using Photoshop. I also viewed DVD's and video streamed over the Internet. The picture is outstanding and the sound is flawless. My TV is connected to my surround sound receiver so now I can even play music through my TV and to my receiver and the sound is excellent. The cable itself is also quite pliable so there is no problem running it over doorways. The vendor I purchased this cable from is different from the one I now see on the site so I can't say anything about this vendor, but as far as the product is concerned it is well worth the price. If there is anything I could complain about is that it would be nice if it came in white. Otherwise this was a great deal!5/5/16 Update - After 6 1/2 years of operation, this cable is finally beginning to fail. I've been getting visible noise on the screen that appears periodically. I have tracked this down to the connection between the cord and one of the ends. I can't complain about how well this cable performed for this time. And it may have worked longer but I regularly connected and disconnected the cable, often pulling the cord to disconnect it, which I'm sure has contributed to the failure. I would still recommend this cable, especially considering how inexpensive it is. 5Works as required for HTPC I have a Panasonic Plasma 50" G25 connected via this 30 ft cable to my main pc an HP Quad Core with Windows 7. The Graphics card is a lower end Nvidia 9800GS 256mb DVI and HDMI outputs.Surprisingly the 256mb 9800GS is enough to power the 50" G25. This means no matter what other "computer experts" might tell you an equivalent card is enough for a 50 inch screen. The quality is practically every bit as good as my main Samsung 22" Lcd SW2233 monitor. The intro to Battlefield 2 looks totally sweet on 50 inches. The cable is very flexible as I have it tucked as much as I can under the baseboard and around corners. The gold plated connectors seem to fit solidly enough.Settings may be a little bit of a hassle to get configured and probably will not be perfect but in my case satisfactory. It may help to begin with to have your media center pc in the same room where you can see both screens to get things like you want them.On this card my current settings are as follows. Under the Nvidia control panel "setup multiple displays" I have the main monitor set up as number 2 and the Panny as #1. The Panny auto inherited the default resolution from the Samsung of 1680 by 1050. The remote has a function to change the picture somewhat so I can live with it as is.Over all I could not be happier "as is without further tweaking". I have yet to test on surround sound but expect it to work as it should. Do NOT spend more than you have to for other expensive cables. If you need a longer one as I did you can't go wrong with this one. Now I can stream hulu netflix and others and only by spending more than what the cable cost. 5Quality HDMI Cable, 30 ft We bought this HDMI cable a whle back to hook up our HD TV to our PC, apologies, just getting around to reviewing it. Res 1080p to 1600p, Certified HDMI 1.3b1 cable supports maximum pixel clock rate of 340 MHz 10.2 Gbit/s; Signal integrity is further enhanced by ferrites cores that filter out noise. Ferrite magnets for reducing line interferenceSupports 12-bit color, also known as Deep Color TM; Compatible with Play Station 3, Xbox 360 Elite, Blu-Ray Players, HD Cable and any other device with HDMI input. All that said, it operates fine; we haven't had any issues hooking up or operating. We still enjoy quality HDMI video just fine. 5Does what you need an HDMI cable to do This cable is used to connect our projector (Optoma HD20) to our AVR (Pioneer VSX-919AH-K). We have no trouble getting a 1080p 60Hz (1080/60p) picture; no issues with signal quality at all. It's easily a Category 2 cable.I think it's very significant that the HDMI cable runs parallel to a bunch of low voltage wires and a single high voltage one. It's along side the 2 rear speaker wires, and a composite (3 RCA wires)---the low voltage wires. The high voltage (120v) powers the projector and is in a non-shielded PVC conduit that's about 6"-12" away. In any case, I think it speaks to the quality of this HDMI cable. There is no need to waste an extra 100-150 paying for a brand name. 5It's all good in the hood I bought this cable to run from my bedroom media PC to the projector I'm setting up in my backyard theater. Cable is thick and sturdy. The projector isnt set up yet (buying it tonight, wish me luck!) but I connected the cable to my TV in the meantime to test it. Picture looks good and sound is good too. What else do you want? The TV and computer are pretty close to each other so I wasnt able to check for any 30' signal loss, but I doubt there will be any.I'll update my review when I get the projector hooked up (someone remind me!).========================07/22/2011 UPDATE!!! (thanks for the reminder): I ran the cable from my bedroom media PC all the way to my projector setup in the backyard last night and it's ALL GOOD. I needed all 30 feet too! Probably should've bought a longer cable. But that's my dumb fault, not the cable. Sound was great, picture was great, NO SIGNAL LOSS. I told you it was all good!! 4Highest recommendation. . . WARNING! If you look for 30' HDMI cables you will find them from several sellers on Amazon. Look carefully at the reviews and you will see that many different seller's goods take you to the SAME reviews! Some of the pictures are even identical. I am not convinced that all the sources really are selling the exact same cable. My cable was "SOLD BY: Cmple.com,Inc" and the model is "Cmple HDMI cable, 30 feet." It was also the lowest price of all the competing sellers. Go figure. Caveat emptor.I needed a longer cable to reach a video projector for REALLY big screen events. I was very cautious and read many reviews. Previously I bought some fo the MediaBridge cables thru Amazon and they were fine. The projector I use is a very new model but it did have a problem with the MediaBridge 15' cables when I was also using an active splitter (HDMI 1 in/2 out). I figured going to 30' was not going to make things better. When this cable arrived I tested it and first I just used an HDMI cable joiner and hooked it to the end of any already 21' run. I figured that was beyond worst case. It worked perfect. The cable seems very well made externally. There are RFI donuts on either end and the wire is thick and yet less stiff than the MediaBridge cables. I work a lot with professional AV cables that need to take a beating and the combination of apparent outer covering thickness and reasonable flexibility was beyond my expectations. Much like the more expensive of the mic cables I use.Time will tell if the connectors hold up, but only one end will be regularly unplugged. 5No problems I do note that this product has a disconcertingly large number of negative reviews, with many of them labeled something like "DID NOT WORK." So perhaps the manufacturer has a quality problem. If so, I got one of the good ones. I was skeptical it was possible to run a video cable this sort of length and it work, but it did. I even had to remove (um, smash off, actually) one of the ferrite coils (those can-looking things you see in the product picture near the cable's connectors) in order to fit it through a hole in the wall that was otherwise too small and I still got a perfect picture. My only caveat is related to those ferrite coils. I realize that they are there to reduce signal noise and perhaps are even mandatory under some industry standard. But they should not be larger than the connector itself; if the connector fits through an opening, then the rest of the cable should fit through as well. But since it still works, no problem. 4Terrible Quality! No Video Image! I bought this to connect my receiver and TV together. Spent a couple of hours running the speaker wires to run with this HDMI cable back to the entertainment center. I normally test all of my cables before routing and final tie down, but I didn't this time. Seemed to be a high quality cable so I trusted it. Big mistake! When I turned the system on for the first time I got about 10 seconds of video and then nothing. I didn't get feedback that the signal was missing or weak, just a blank screen. I had audio but no video. Did all the trouble shooting I could think of with the receiver and TV but always the same result: audio was fine but video would appear for about 10 seconds and then turn into a blank screen. As a last attempt to find the problem before calling customer support at the receiver manufacturer I tried a different cable! Presto! Everything worked great!I see from other reviews that I'm not the only person to have this problem. Lousy quality control! 1great cable! I bought this 30-foot Cmple HDMI cable recently through Amazon.com and have been using it for about three weeks now. It has been working trouble-free and I am extremely satisfied with it.I know enough about electronics to be wary of running high-frequency signals over too-long of a cable. Internal reflections and capacitance issues can result in signal deterioration which is made worse by long cable length. Since HDMI operates at such high frequencies I never questioned why the major manufacturers and retailers do not offer HDMI cables more than eight feet or so in length. But I really need to locate my monitor about fifteen to twenty feet from the HDMI video source. The "name-brand" cables were not offering me any solution at all.I was surprised to see this Cmple 30-foot cable, and even more surprised to see they had much longer ones available. I was skeptical whether it worked, but it was priced low enough that I thought it would be a worthwhile experiment. It paid off -- the video connection through this cable has been flawless. The connectors seem mechanically solid and well-made. My video sources have included 1080i broadcast HDTV and the upsampled image from my DVD player. I have not seen whether it works well with 1080p since I don't have those kinds of video sources yet.For $20 or so this cable is a bargain. 5
