The SS9000 monoblock uses an exclusive DD designed circuit combining full bridge architecture with high current devices typically reserved for half bridge amps. This hybrid approach provides full range performance and speed with big, clean power output, all packed into a highly efficient, compact chassis. Pro audio systems, like stunt walls loaded with mid-woofers and high-frequency drivers, will benefit greatly from the low noise floor. Big bass systems will overindulge on 9000 watts produced by the SIX-PACK toroidal power supply and over-sized capacitors to hammer out an endless barrage of low-frequency passages.
The SS amplifiers have earned a reputation as high speed, high current, class D designs offering big power and superior sound quality in compact footprints. As with all DD amps, every major component is name-brand. They use higher current mosfets and output devices, increased power capacitors, and six extremely efficient transformers, all on a thermally robust PCB. The housing includes multiple discrete vents and DD AUDIOs classic heat sink which includes 50% more side wall thickness than industry norms and extra long fins to increase surface area for maximum cooling.
