Customer Reviews

Looks and works great, but Delta is advertising the incorrect hose length! After researching several faucets, I bought this one for a few main reasons: it looks cool (esp in Arctic Stainless), has 3 water settings (2.0gpm, 1.0gpm, spray), has a 59" hose, and the price is great! After installing, I agree with 3 of those: it definitely does look cool, the water settings work great (very smooth solid motion and retains the spray/stream setting), and its worth the price. However, the hose is NOT 59" as advertised, but is in fact 54". Who cares about 5", you ask? (*snicker*) Well, my kitchen layout is such that my water filter/dispenser is within reach of a 59" hose, but just out of reach of the included 54" hose. Naturally I assumed that Delta, with its lauded customer service, would handle this like pros. After all, not only does Amazon list a 59" hose, but Delta's own website for this faucet does also!So I emailed Delta, and this is the response I got: "All of our hose assembly lengths are now 54" date of modification 02/25/2015." That's right, not only did they switch to a shorter hose NINE MONTHS AGO, but they couldn't even be bothered to change the information on their own website. Basically, a human female can create a fully functional human baby from scratch faster than Delta can change the number "59" to the "54" on their own website. Now I know I'm making a big deal about a stinking hose, and this review will certainly be downvoted because we Amazon users don't like negative reviews for good products. So I'll leave it at this: this is a great faucet, worth 5 stars for its form/function/price, but knowingly misrepresenting the hose length followed by no effort to rectify the situation (delta has a longer hose that I feel they should have offered me) dings it one star. 4Worked so well, I bought two! At the time when I purchased this, it was one of the more affordable options for a touch kitchen faucet. A bit challenging to install, due to having to get under the sink. Also needed the right tools, such as a basin wrench. The touch functioning is very convenient. I liked it so much that I installed a second faucet in the laundry, so I could easily wash up after working outside, etc.The touch function stopped working. It was a bit of a challenge working under the sink again, but the faucet still functions if the solenoid is removed. It was still within the warranty period. I sent a copy of my Amazon receipt through the Delta website. They responded within a few days and gathered some additional information that was required for shipping, such as my phone number. I received the part after a few days, and just installed it. Works great! Also, just wanted to add that the original solenoid had a water hammer effect, producing a knocking noise in the pipes. This occurred despite adding a water hammer arrestor to both water supply lines. The new solenoid is much more quiet!Update:Originally purchased Dec 2013.Solenoid replaced Mar 2018.O-ring replaced July 2018.Faucet was having some trouble turning side to side. I read that the o-ring can go bad. It was a fairly easy fix. Removed the handle. Disconnected the pull-out. Pushed the hose down into the hub assembly. Pull the hub assembly up vertically and straight off. O-ring was old and in 2 pieces. Removed o-ring remnants and cleaned off any gunk. Popped on the new o-ring and put it back together. Works great!O-ring part is RP13938. On the advice of a review for this part, I purchased a bulk pack of o-rings. It worked great, and I have enough for next time. 1-3/4" ID, 1-15/16" OD, 3/32" 5Worked well for about year, then began leaking I purchased this faucet in December of 2015 and installed it in January of 2016. It worked well for a little over a year, but has started leaking from both the faucet head and down the faucet handle within the last month. I checked under the sink to see if there was anything wrong with the hoses or pressure, but everything is as it should be. It appears the faucet itself is defective or just not built to last.--Will update with replacement/refund policy when I figure out how it works.--Update 1 - faucet is leaking underneath the sink and we've had to turn the water to the sink off completely. water trickling down the handle was causing slow flooding of the countertop. 1i like it, but not sure that i LOVE it i like it, but not sure that i LOVE it? definitely better than our old one that was a moen.things I like: it's kinda cute, and has a nice arch so it put the water stream down towards the drain rather than on the side of the sink. we've had it @ 6 mos now, and it doesn't leak, the pull out cord is quiet, and it transitions well from stream to spray.things that bother me: for some reason, the water pressure is not as strong as with our last one. when i go to put the pull out nozzle back on the main part, it doesn't go back completely unless you kinda press/push it in place. if it is not in place, when you go to swivel it, the end falls back out, which can make a mess if the water is on. the other thing, which I thought I would like, but realize now that I don't.....if you turn the faucet off in "spray" mode, it remains that way when you turn it back on....again making a mess because it sprays all over rather than in a stream. my old one defaulted to "stream" when it was turned off. I didn't realize that function would be annoying to me, but it is. but some folks may prefer that.overall, it seems to be a good, reliable, sturdy faucet that i plan to have for many years. i just have to remember to deal with it's idiosyncrasies. . 4my wife and I love this faucet VERY easy to install. I kept waiting for something to go wrong, but nothing did! This is the easiest faucet I have ever installed! This faucet is kind of tall, but we got used to it. There is lots of room under the spout, and the stream of water hits the exact center of our sink. That makes it easy for my wife to wash her hair in the sink. Yes, the sprayer is plastic, but virtually all sprayers are plastic. About the only thing I have a concern about is the seemingly flimsy hose for the sprayer. Whenever I use the sprayer, I kink the hose right behind the sprayer, and the water flow stops. I have to be very careful about this so I don't damage the hose. That said, my wife and I love this faucet. AND, its a Delta, so it should last longer than we will! 4Works but I wish I had gotten something made from better-quality materials Thin and light materials. Pull out sprayer is really lightweight plastic and the water-inlet hoses are are plastic. Battery compartment is super cheap. The instructions do NOT match the parts in the box and has almost NO words (just color drawings) like a cheap Chinese product. Escutcheon (base plate) is super-thin metal that does not appear flat when light reflects off it. Entire assembly can 'bend' slightly left and right if you push on it (yes, it's locked down tight underneath, heavy porcelain sink).During assembly I couldn't get the sprayer hose to drop in from the top. Discovered that one of the wires was pinched (shearing off the insulation) and running straight across the hose opening (see photos). I had to remove the U-shaped plug from the bottom, reroute the wire and use electrical tape on the frayed section, then reassemble it properly. If this is what "American Made" means, I'll pass. If Delta had charged $20-30 more but built this faucet using better-quality materials, I would have gladly paid it to get a better overall product. I like the concept of a touch faucet, but instead of being proud of my installation job, I feel like I should sleep next to the sink tonight in case it springs a leak. It's in and it works fine, so far (one day)...UPDATE: After 6 months, it's still working fine, but it has a few quirks: About 10% of the time, it won't respond to touching the pull-out sprayer, so I have to touch the main faucet stem instead. Not a deal breaker. On rare occasions while using it, it has turned on BY ITSELF while I was across the room. Again, not a deal breaker, since this has never happened (to my knowledge) long after not using it, such as between meals or overnight (when the faucet is dry and sitting idle). It has a shut off timer set to a few minutes, so it won't flood your house. Again, not a deal breaker. Overall, I intend to keep it.UPDATE: After a full year, the temperature light at the base of the faucet is now intermittent. Most of the time it works, but sometimes it just won't light to show the temperature. No leaks. Already changed the batteries once. Be careful with the plastic sprayer handle because it's easy to leave scratches in the cheap plastic. Again, if this faucet had been made from better materials, I'd have been a lot happier (and willing to pay a little more for it). Overall, I'm keeping it, but once it poops out, I'm going to see if another brand is made better.UPDATE: After about 18 months, it still has all the previous quirks I mentioned above, plus it now sometimes only spits for a fraction of a second when you tap it (happens 3 or 4 times in a row once it decides to act up). To fix this, I grab and hold the main faucet stem for at least a full second and that seems to reset the capacitive-charge sensor enough for it to work properly thereafter. Only does this new behavior once every 3 or 4 days (even after replacing the batteries). Overall, it DOES work nicely and I'm happy with the convenience it offers. I will continue to keep it, but just be aware that this faucet has a bit of a 'personality' from time to time.SUGGESTIONS TO DELTA: Make the escutcheon plate from thicker metal! Make the electronics more robust (including a better-quality battery compartment). Make the sprayer handle out of chromed METAL! Make the stalk of the faucet thicker so it doesn't flex as much. You'd have a GREAT product here if you'd put a few more dollars into the materials, the instruction manual and your outgoing quality control.FUNNY: I'm so used to it now that I find myself absent-mindedly tapping on the kitchen faucet in the break room at work. Doh! 3Decent but not quite good enough. Purchased this faucet a few months ago and installed myself. Installation was reasonable and have no complaints about that. The finish is good and mechanically is average. The two main complaints I have about this and what would cause me not to recommend this item are how the pull out portion fits into the base, and the temperature adjustment. The pull out wand is pressure fit into the base. It does not use a magnet or weight to secure like some others do. This causes the nozzle to be loose sometimes if you do not push fairly hard to secure it back into place. Second and biggest complaint is the temperature adjustment. The handle operation is smooth and nice, but there is almost no division between hot and cold. Unless you move the handle in the very small area in the middle you either very hot or very cold water. I would say it has to be turned on a 1/16th of an inch area if you want warm water. This is not very good when using it a lot. In the future I will spend a little more money for a different faucet. If you need a less expensive faucet for a sink you don't use much this would probably be okay, but I would not recommend for daily use. 2Choose a different faucet. This is a good looking faucet. I like that you can increase the flow to fill pots or for whatever reason. It also has a nice spray feature, and the finish is a black-bronze with copper highlights. However, it is very frustrating to use if you have a double sink, because the range of motion is about 3 on either side of the divide, and it is hard to move it. The clearance is not enough to wash and rinse pans or large items on either side of the sink, and you have to remove it from its dock to finish the job or to flush waste down the disposer.Thinking we had not installed it correctly, we downloaded the instructions again from the website an re-installed it. It still didn t move, so we had a plumber re-install. You guessed it - it still does not move any wider arc and is stiff and tight, requiring both hands to budge it from its position. I would not buy again nor recommend to a friend. -UPDATE: The faucet completely froze and would not move. We called Delta and insisted on a warranty replacement which arrived in a timely manner and was installed by a plumber we hired. It worked beautifully for the first couple months, but has started to be difficult to move as the last one was. Plan to invoke the warranty again, but opt for a different faucet. Otherwise, it s goodbye Delta. 2Absolutely best kitchen faucet ever! I counted, and between moves and remodels, I have had 14 kitchen faucets over the years. This one is far better than any of the others--and that includes the trendy gooseneck faucet I tried a few years ago. The pull-out part is large enough to grasp easily. It pulls out smoothly, even when I am pulling it sideways to fill a pot on the counter. The hose is long enough to reach all the way over to refill my coffee maker which is three feet away. I especially love the spray feature that turns on and off with a rocker switch, instead of a button. Once on, it stays on until I turn it off. So if I am washing several dishes by hand and turning off the water between rinsing, I do not have to reset it to spray every time I turn the water back on. It even stays on the spray setting when the flow is turned down to a trickle! And unlike other faucets I have had, when the flow volume is at its maximum, the spray does not come out so forcefully as to ricochet off the bottom of the sink and splatter all over me. The handle is large enough to grab readily without looking and is comfortable in my hand. I couldn't be happier with my choice--especially considering how many less-functional faucets sell for hundreds of dollars more. 5Elegant and affordable! My Wife recently decided to remodel our 1999 kitchen. Of course, deciding on fixtures via the internet is very hard, because the big box stores only carry what they want you to buy. Please take a look at the attached photo and I think you will agree, if you are looking for a modern, pull-out faucet, this artistic design is beautiful, yet affordable. As the description reads, it does look a bit like a weeping willow branch or something like it. We particularly like that it does not stand too high and obstruct our kitchen window view. It also stretches out to the middle of our kitchen sink, so we can drip our faucet on cold winter nights and not hear the pinging water on the S.S. sink bottom. The faucet stretches out to the middle of the sink drain hole. We've been using it for several months now, and it is strong, well made, and functional. I do not care for the plastic buttons, but everything else on it is made of metal, which gives it a quality feel. For the looks of a very expensive faucet, this Delta product is a bargain. 5
