Customer Reviews

Music system rescued Being a Universal product, there are unknown factors involved in installation, Chief was the antenna connection, which for my Jeep liberty was resolved by locating the junction between the Chrysler cable at the radio and thr universal connector from the antenna. Connector behind passenger side kick panel, no adapter required. Mounting the box containing the controls needs to be such that adjustments can be made after installation, I used Velcro, the frequency and volume control adjustments are difficult to use and hopefully will not require adjustment as we change areas. All is good at this point everything works as described with a used I pod from one of the sellers on Amazon. Very happy with the results, the 10 yr old CD changer is on it's last legs. Wife is happy, everybody is happy. 5Works as described - glad to keep the factory look of my older car This device works well for plugging in your phone or mp3 player into an older stock radio. I chose this route because I wanted to maintain the factory appearance of my truck and I only occasionally drive it as it's my second vehicle. Overall, I think the sound quality is decent and without the interference users of wireless devices complain about - though you may have to play with the device volume to get it to come through as you'd like. The usb port for charging is handy. Using the 2 sided tape to mount the switch assembly probably won't work as the tightness of the ports (usb and aux) will likely cause you to knock the assembly off the tape when you plug wires into the aux/usb ports (and it doesn't seem to adhere well to the dashboard materials). I screwed mine into the bottom of the dash (in a '03 f150). I chose not to drill holes in the dash to install the button and ports - this may have given it a more polished look, but I anticipated it would have taken time and that I would've needed additional hardware. If you are considering having it installed professionally, you might opt to purchase a new stereo with Bluetooth capability to your phone (the cost would be comparable on less expensive stereo units). I imagine the installation would be more difficult on other vehicles with stereo units that are integrated into the dashboard - in those cases consider a professional installation. Overall, this is a great solution for connecting your phone or mp3 to the factory stereo system in older vehicles where aesthetics are important to you. 4Installed in Ford 2006 Explorer (with adapters) PAC IS32 Fm Modulator, USB Charging with 3.5 Audio InputSold by E&B Electronics Inc, fulfilled by Amazon.I installed this FM modulator in my 2006 Explorer with a navigation radio. I had to pick up some antenna adapters from a stereo installation business since local auto parts stores didn't carry the right ones. Sorry, but I did not pay attention to the model numbers. I simply purchased the adapters by sight.Wow, what a difference!I have had experience with an FM transmitter/charger made for iPhone that was OK at best. I recently bought a Sirius Stratus 6* radio that also used FM transmission. OK as well, but both experience major interference when in range of a broadcast station on the same frequency. Very inconvenient to change frequency on both the transmitter and the car radio - especially when driving alone.I have not experienced any interference with this modulator at all. It comes in as clear as a high-power local FM station. When turned off, I can still listen to my local AM and FM broadcast stations with no problems. The USB port is very convenient and, as I have it installed, it provides power at all times - whether or not the modulator is on, whether or not the ignition switch is on.At this time, I simply have the ports stuck to the underside of my dash, but I expect I will flush mount them individually as 3lbpuppy did - when I get around to routing the Sirius antenna cable through the car (currently it is sitting on top of the dash). This will satisfy me until I get a new car with a built-in Aux and/or satellite radio - hopefully several years away.* When plugging a Stratus radio into the Aux port, don't forget to turn off the transmitter in the Stratus settings. 5Didn't work properly with a Toyota Prius. Did not work properly after Best Buy guys installed it. They said it was probably a defective unit. 1) it immediately reduced normal radio reception so dramatically we can no longer listen to most of the stations we used to. 2) Volume on the input is lower than cd or radio. Now after having it installes almost a month it just shorted out and barely plays any volume at all even when cranked up.It's garbage. 1Good for a short time, not anymore Ordered this device for my wifeson car on August 6th 2015, received a short while later and installed that night. In the last month or so the connections have become rather useless. The connections have to be messed with in order to get good sound quality as well as the charging port has started to run when it wants to which is never. I have gone through all the conectons and double checked everything twice. Wish the connections weren't so weak I'd buy a couple more of these devices for other family members but I will have to look into another device.***EDIT*** 08-10-16SO THIS DEVICE HAS COMPLETELY FAILED AS OF 2 DAYS AGO, OF COURSE IT DIES A WEEK BEFORE OUR VACATION WHICH INCLUDES AN 18HR DRIVE ONE WAY.DON'T BUY THIS CHUNK OF WORTHLESS PLASTIC. 1Super clean car audio and charger install kit! This modulator is great. The sound quality on it is good (huge improvement over a regular FM wireless transmitter) and it is pretty easy to install. The sound quality is not the same as a direct line in into a stereo because every once in a while I still hear some crackling, but overall I love it. The instructions are easy to understand, and the hole drilling guides are accurate. I was able to get this installed in my dash in a few days and I love how clean it makes my car look!Along with this kit, I bought the following items:-Dash phone mount: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0075PZGTS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1-3.5mm slim audio cable http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ALY22Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1-Short lightning USB charger cable http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FARSS8O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 4I can keep my car now. I almost sold my 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor because it only has a CD player and radio and no auxiliary input. I wanted to be able to play music from an MP3 player but the dash will not take any aftermarket stereo systems. As a last resort, I thought I would give this FM modulator a try. I chose this model because it also has a convenient USB power slot and the ability to mount it anywhere on the dash you can drill a hole. I am very pleased with the results.I am an amateur when it comes to car electronics, but I was able to install it by myself within an hour. After the dash and factory stereo are removed, the hookup is fairly straightforward. I didn't need an antenna adapter to connect the device. The most difficult part of the process was splicing into the existing radio's power supply. I could have run the power to the fuse box, but I didn't want to pull out more pieces of the dash. Instead, I cut the radio's power line (which I looked up to find it was the blue wire in my vehicle), and spliced the red power line on the device to the two cut ends of the radio power. I grounded it to the same terminal bolt as the radio.I put the three holes on the top of my dash, to keep it close to the mount where I keep my phone. There are two other mounting options, but because of the inflexible design of my dash, I opted to drill a hole for each component separately. You can put it wherever there is enough room, or even stick the included box to the underside of the dash.I was extremely pleased when I put everything back together and it worked correctly the first time. Now I can listen to my phone's MP3 player or internet radio, and use its GPS, and didn't have to spend hundreds of dollars replacing the factory radio. 5It works, but it can be better So I purchased this as I could no longer take listening to my same six cd's in my car everyday. With a 1 hour commute in each direction I needed to get something that can allow me to plug in my phone. Also I did not want to get a whole new head unit as something that would fit my double din would be quite expensive. So I get the unit and right away everything about the unit feels cheap and I understand this was not an expensive product but this product feels incredibly cheap. all the wiring is bare bones gauge and shielding. Even the double sided sticker is quite poor.So I think oh well at least it will give me the music I want. So I hook the unit up which was not all too difficult. However listening for only 10 seconds I can tell that the quality of the music is terrible. I tried both station presets and still get static and lose all my treble and mids. the music sounds very dull and lifeless. I guess should not have had high hopes however I feel like for this price I should be getting a much better representation of my music. This will have to do for now until I find something that keeps my stock stereo yet provide quality sound for a low price. 2A great way to add an AUX port without replacing the radio. Recently bought a used car that does not have an AUX port, and cassette adapters just sound terrible. I didn't want to spend the money to replace the radio, and plus, it just looks better with the stock radio. So I bout this hoping that it actually does sound better than an FM transmitter, and it definitely does.It took a while to install mainly because I had some difficulty deciding/figuring out how I was going to power it. I ended up using the power that went to a cigarette lighter inside the ash tray that never gets used. And it works great. It's awesome that it comes with options on how to install the USB port, switch, and AUX port. I used the included bracket (which included double-stick tape) and put it on the side of the center console near the floor. It almost looks like the came from the factory like this.Highly recommended. 5just so I would have good music. This took no more than 20 minutes ... Words are not enough to express how much this has made a difference in my driving experience. I always fumbled with making new CDs and trying to buy cassette player adapters that connected to my phone, just so I would have good music. This took no more than 20 minutes to install and even came with everything needed for the installation. It connects directly into your stereo, has an on/off stitch, and even has a USB port to charge your electronics (though honestly the USB port isn't worth installing because it charges so slowly). Having the charging cord for my phone and the auxillary cable lying around the drivers side of the car was a little messy for me so I ended up just buying a bluetooth dongle to connect into the aux port of this radio integration system. 5
