John Sterling 5-Bar White Swing Open Window Guard Model JS-1135 John Sterling JS-1135 window guards have security bars 18 inches high to protect up to 22 inches. Expansion is 24 to 42 inches. Warm white powder coated steel construction. Included are a locking channel with locking hole, a locking pin, mounting screws and a safety release lever . Swing open for escape in an emergency: unit not removable except by drilling out screws. For use in sleeping and non-sleeping rooms. Specifications: Bar Spacing: 3.5 inches. Exceeds 4 inch recommended safety standard for child window bars. Bar Diameter: 5/16th Inch. Strength Test: Tested to withstand 150 lb. force at maximum extended width.
