The Kenko Soft Gradient Half ND8 is a half-ND filter that adjusts light and dark balance of your photos by making the last half of the filter ND (ND8, 3 Stop Dimming at the thickest point) and keeping the rest half transparent.
The half-ND filter helps to reduce the amount of light and dim in areas where the exposure difference in the picture composition is larger, and the effect is reduced.
Even if you are looking to develop RAW after taking a shot, you can keep the difference in brightness and darkness as much as possible, making it difficult for photos to break, and improving the quality of the development.
The half-ND filter is mainly used to reduce the brightness of the sun and other scenery such as sunrise, before and after sunset, but it can also be used in a variety of scenes such as lighting up stars and fireworks photography, to adjust reflections brightness, and for use in portraits.

Compared to standard square half ND filters, there is no need to have a separate filter holder or adapter ring, and it's easy to use just screw in front of the lens.
