Customer Reviews

Great Pro Film I have been shooting Fujifilm Superia 400 X-tra as my primary color negative film. I wanted something finer grain with different colors to experiment with. This film really hold up. The contrast is amazing, true color, and fine grain for the speed. I am scanning at 6400DPI with fantastic results. I recommend everyone shoot a few rolls of this while it's still around. Who knows how long we will be able to get Kodak film.Developing Tip: If a CVS has the processing machine, they will develop to just negatives for $2.19. You may have to convince them it exists and clearly specify that you don't want prints. 5Amazing film. Awesome dynamic range when properly exposed Amazing film. Awesome dynamic range when properly exposed. Kodak certainly has a look to it and in this case its a portrait-specific look: tends to render blues as warmer/greener than they are, and to subdue greens and variations within flesh tones so I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for landscapes, but then people have used it for that. It's not as extreme as pro 400H in it's bias as a portrait film though. Maybe halfway between. Seems reluctant to make purples as compared to Fuji film but that could just be me. 5I don't know how many rolls of Portra I have boughtn' I have gone through 3 of these 5-packs in the past year. I love this film, great color and great contrast. I use this in my Pentax K1000. Highly recommend. 5Digital take a back seat please! Simply amazing. If your not willing to spend 3k on a digital camera get this film. Looks better what more can I say? 5Great Really great film. I m new to film so I think this is a really great film for someone who is a beginner like myself. It has great coloring for both landscapes and portrait photography. Isn t that great in low light but that was to be expected. Overall really happy. 5On time and in good condition. My girlfriend and I have been shooting digital and film photography for the last couple of years and have yet to be let down by the quality of Kodak products. Popped a roll into a Canon ae-1 and away we went. Had a few rolls developed by an online lab, they uploaded digital negatives and the shots were stunning and vibrant. The color effect is just something so unique that is difficult to achieve in the day and age of digital sensors. Overall great experience, from purchase to prints. 5Maybe the best color c41 film ever made I still shoot film, and this stuff is seriously among the best ever made. Amazing latitude, you can under or over expose it a large amount and it holds up. The grain is so fine, the images look like silk when properly exposed and the colors are stupendous. If you take a camera out in tough conditions and shoot wide open, this is the film for you too. Long live film. 5Love the color and overall look. I just recently decided to get into casual, travel photography as a hobby and picked myself up a Canonet ql17 GIII. This film came highly recommended from pretty much anyone I asked and I can see why. Just got my first roll developed and printed and it looks awesome. I love the color and overall look of this stuff. This is a blast. 5Ive been shooting film for almost 15 years and Portra 400 is the best film ive ever used I always look for quality in my pictures, Ive been shooting film for almost 15 years and Portra 400 is the best film ive ever used, the colors come out crisp and clear, I use a Canon A1 and a lomography LCA to shoot film, of course I love my Canon A1 better and this film is just great, I shoot portrait and all my clients just love how the film quality looks. 5Five Stars Fantastic film!
