Customer Reviews

Worth every pennyA little expensive, but worth every penny. Each one holds a massive amount of cables, lets you coil up excess cable, and each finger gap can hold 4 ethernet cables rather easily.Very impressed with the quality and features. It has 4 rear holes that and comes with 2 rubber grommets to put in them. I used these with the C2G 03748 Vertical Cable Management and they line up really nicely.5Good quality product, works well... expensive.Very good product if you have a little extra space. Cleans things up very nicely. That said, you're paying over $70 for a plastic box, which is a little ridiculous. These should cost maybe $35 tops.... but since nobody makes a knockoff version yet, they're the only game in town and can be as greedy as they want.Good quality product.4This Is The Go-To Product If You Need Wire Management!!If you are going to need Wire Management in a rack, this is the only thing I would be looking at! I tried to cheap out and buy some Startechs but they where not worth it, ended up replacing them with these Neatpatch units and I have been happy ever since, I have 8 of these in one of my 42U Production Racks and it works like a charm!5Not what I ordered I ordered a medium point fountain pen, but I received a fine point pen. I returned it. Additionally, this was not a true Waterman pen made in France--it was made in India under a license from Waterman. Not a deal-killer necessarily, but I do think that should have been clearly disclosed. 1Best Patch Cable Management solution!!!Really really nice cable management solution. I searched and searched the net looking for a clean, easy solution for my set-up. This product was the answer. I've had many many compliments on how my server rack looks and blends well with the furniture in my office. I would definitely recommend this product for any residential or commercial use.5Excellent addition to your rack! These organizers are expensive but I wouldn't build a rack without one. Simple concept but works perfectly. I find I can realistically put 72 ports above or below this organizer, and with 2 foot cables reach a switch on the other side. See photos. Keeps everything very neat, easy to add/remove/change as needed. Worth the money for ease of installation and maintenance.5Is it possible to love a pen? I took a risk in getting this pen via an Amazon Warehouse deal for the low price of $67.75. If I had bought the pen new here on Amazon, it would have cost about $85. And wow, the risk paid off well! The box had some very minor damage, but the pen is in wonderful shape and is perfect. It is a shiny black pen with chrome accents, which I greatly prefer over gold. I find gold to be tacky almost always. Since this pen comes with an ink cartridge but not a converter, I also purchased a Waterman converter when I bought the pen. I don't care for cartridges and prefer to buy bottles of ink because there's way more color and brand selection in bottles. Advice to fountain pen newbies: always read the product description and some of the associated questions regarding the products here on Amazon. I see that many are upset that the pen comes with no converter. Read before you buy, people! I own several Lamy Safaris, a Waterman Laureat from the 1990s, a few Chinese pens (Jinhao, Baoer, and Kaigelu), a Waterman Kultur, a TWSBI Eco, and a Pilot Metropolitan. My small fountain pen collection is growing, and I'd say that this Waterman Expert is hands down my best pen. It has a very smooth medium nib, and writes very well. It's not terribly heavy at 1.17 ounces (measured on my scale), but it has a nice heft to it, which I like. I can write with it posted or unposted with no problems. The pen has a very satisfying and clear snap of the cap when posted or closed. I can easily see this pen as my favorite daily writer. I love a good medium nib, and this Expert pleases me to no end. I love it! I have it inked now with Pelikan Royal Blue ink, and it writes wonderfully. I highly recommend this pen! 5Easy to use for small installsThis item is a smaller brother to the 2 RU original version. Works as well and if you need only small number of connections, this will do the trick. It is little bit more money compared to the 2 RU version, but still worth it.I found that using the new 'slim type' patch cords work well and the install looks clean.5Won't dry out after a day. Super nice! I was apprehensive about spending so much on a fountain pen but you truely get what you pay for. I have another pen that was around $40 which is nice too but this one writes beautifully. It doesn't "run out" of ink every other sentence like some I've used. It just keeps going. Even after days of not using it I can simply start writing with it because it doesn't dry up like cheaper ones. Could be the higher quality ink I bought though not sure. It's super easy to load ink into it. The cap stays on either end securely as well. It has a nice weight and balance to it. I really enjoy writing with it and started relearning cursive handwriting just for the fun of it. 5I have OCD about as bad as anybody I knowThis was my first attempt at building a full-blown network aside from household stuff. Spent about 3 months researching various cable management products, network switches, NAS units and Hardware firewalls and this is what I settled on. I have OCD about as bad as anybody I know. If you care about having things function well AND to be nice and tidy, do not settle for anything but these units. I see a few people complaining about the price being a little high for "plastic boxes"..... Ignore them. These are worth every dollar.5Ink spilled inside the fountain pen box Waterman is a premium French brand. The fountain pen itself was received in good condition. However, for some unknown reasons the blue ink cartridge was pierced and the ink became scattered inside the Waterman box itself. I managed to clean the box but some dry ink residues are still prevailing. Not a good first time buying experience on Amazon.com particularly if buying delicate items like fountain pens to be gifted to someone else. The handling and packaging of this kind of product must be reviewed. 1Way to big and flashy, other wise does the job well.It does exactly as is described, but it's huge in front depth. The seller has been very upfront about it, but it is ridiculously deep in the front. I have 2 different Tripp Lite racks, and it does NOT fit without attaching it from the back and making compromises. It does not need to be as big as it is, so it feels like a dumb design. The front is also very flashy, think cheap European plastic. I wish the logo was removable, and I could choose a plain black front. In short: It does what it says, it's all plastic, but good plastic - it is VERY deep in the front, make sure your rack can support it (tripp-lite can not)3An absolutely stunning pen! My favorite fountain pen was the Lamy Safari. Not anymore! My Waterman Expert is a thing of sheer beauty: so extremely well built with a business chic elegance that s really hard to beat in any price range. It s well balanced, and delightfully smooth. This is my new favorite by a mile.Evidently, there has been a small update to the cap design. The Expert used to have a metallic button inlay in the crown of the pen and I heard a few stories about this bit getting knocked out. Well, that metallic button is no more. The top of the cap now boasts an embossed Waterman W apparently molded into the pen. Nice fix!The only Waterman that might outclass the Expert is the Carene. At this price however, the Expert in my view is absolutely unbeatable! 5Fantastic product for new racks and overhauls.Fantastic product and concept for patch management. Works best with 48 port patch panel matched with 48 port switch, but I ve also used them with 24 port switches where all the ports favor one side of the switch, just gets really tight on one side if you have a full switch. The included cables with quick open packs are great. My company has ordered 6 Neat Patch 2U cable managers for two different network rack overhauls. We had Belkin branded ones that are similar but don t have the deep cavity to loop the cable like these do. Belkin ones look similar with covers on but end up being a nightmare when the cover is remove, very sharp where cables pass through, and don t have the proper bend radius like Neat Patch promotes. Watch the videos on their site and review their real customer photos to help you plan your rack setup or overhaul. Really wish this company made vertical sides made from their same material.5A Good Daily Writer The Waterman Expert is a midrange fountain pen, a good daily writer at a fair price it has been rated one of the best pens in its price range by at least one trustworthy reviewer. Beyond that it's essentially subjective, unquestionably a competent pen, but not one to make an impression either favorable or unfavorable. The look is subjective. Because the top rises further above the clip than most pens, the overall length is slightly longer than most pens, and it is more visible than most when pocketed, but when the pen is posted it has the same length as a Parker Sonnet,The cap slides off, but when put in place or posted there is a solid clicking around which is reassuring. The stainless steel medium nib is quite wet, (NB I use Pelikan ink and have not tried this pen with other inks.) The pen is apparently made in France. In the end, this is a well made, attractive pen at a good price point, suited for every day writing by people who buy fountain to use rather than to collect. My experience with Waterman pens is that they're reliable and durable. 4Skipping on the upstroke This is a beautiful pen I love the weight and balance is perfect for me. The only problem was skipping. It was completely unacceptable, especially since the $6 cheapie I bought at the drugstore for curiosity sake writes better. After some experimentation with the ink and different papers it became apparent the the pen, (fine nib) simply didn't like the paper. I was trying it out on regular 20 lb. printer paper. When I used regular notebook paper or 80 lb. card stock it worked flawlessly. Granted this is not ideal, but the feel and beauty of the pen make it worth keeping. I am ordering an Hemisphere Blue in medium point to try out as my everyday pen. I'll let you know how that works out.------OK. I'm back a week later. The initial skipping issue seems to have resolved itself. I ordered the Expert again in medium nib. I love it but the medium nib is slightly wet for my personal writing style with the Waterman cartridge. I'm getting a converter and would appreciate and recommendations as to an ink that might be more suited to me. 4uencThe Neat Patch is unique in wire management when you have dense switches. In addition to the cable space available for the fingers, there is a deep well on the back side that allows you easily dress patch cables. I find it works best on switches are numbered sequentially across the upper row and then continue with the rest of the ports on the bottom row.The Neat Patch can still help out with switches that are numbered on the top, then the bottom and the back to the top row because there are knock out openings on the sides and back allowing you to still route patch cables so that the.patch bays are connected in numerically sequence with the ports on the patch bay being plugged into the same number port on the switch as the patch bay.5An overlooked and wonderful fountain pen. Of my entire fountain pen collection (Pilot VP, Metro, Kaweco Sport, Monteverde Vesuvio, Lamy Safari, TWSBI Eco, Platinum 3776), this hands down is my favorite pen, except for possibly the 3776. Beginning with the look of the pen, it is a great balance of classy and restrained. In particular, the use of gold accents and the shape of the clip just look good. The 24ct gold plate is a noticeable shade different from my other 14ct gold pens, it looks better. The cap snaps off, which is just more convenient than threads, and it posts with an interesting attention to detail and design. The gold accent ring near the top of the pen serves to hold the cap on, and the tolerances are such that the pen cap does not friction fit against the body of the pen, yet is held firmly in place when posted. When posted, the cap free to rotate slightly around the ring- It is hard to describe, but this attention to detail give a nice feel that the pen is of quality. Furthermore, unlike some snap pens (looking at you Metropolitan), the step down from the body to the grip section is quite small and this greatly helps with comfort. The grip section of the pen is plastic, however is not readily apparent against the lacquered brass body and cap (note that because the pen is brass, it can not be made into an eyedropper). The real magic of this pen; however, is the nib. For a steel nib, and even compared with many solid gold nibs, it is nothing short of fantastic. When I first opened the pen, I inserted the included cartridge and wrote with it as soon as I could reassemble. The pen did not miss a beat and has not since in months of use. Not one hard start, or skip (except the most minor of hard starts if the cap is left off for a few minutes). The nib writes with a very unique tactile feel, not at all a roughness, but a sort of pencil like feedback that helps my brain recognize what my hand just did. It makes writing much more effortless than with a glassy smooth nib like the vanishing point, in my experience, and it is unique even to the 3776 which is often described similarily. The nib is rather stiff, so variation is minimal, but this is perfect for a EDC pen imo. The nib writes on the wetter side, but not overly so. Finely unlike most fountain pens, there is no breather hole apparent on the top of the nib (looks like it may be relocated underneath and at the base), and as such there is less nib creep. Therefore, this pen works well with thinner more penetrating inks such as Noodlers' Warden and Bernanke series while still being great with iroshizuku and diamine inks. My only complaint with the pen is that while it allows for a converter, it is not included and the Waterman converter does not fit tightly into the grip. This is nothing more than a personal annoyance and hardly worth mentioning. 5Great Pen, True Waterman quality I ve owned this pen for almost five years now. I have never had an issue. The fine nib writes flawlessly and smoothly. It starts every single time.Currently I am inked up with Diamine Majestc Purple. The ink works beautifully in this pen. This is a great pen. No issues at all, in five years, no issues. Just simply take care of it. I flush it out once the converter runs out of ink. For those of you that are new to fountain pens, buy an ear syringe flush bulb. Fill it with water and flush the nib section out with it, after the water runs clear, draw some water into your converter a few times. Flush until clear. Using the bulb syringe will take minutes off of your flushing time. Research this technique on YouTube. There are some good videos out there on this subject. 5So happy with my first fountain pen! This is my very first fountain pen. I can see why people are practically religious about the experience. I wanted to order something that was high quality but reasonably priced, not a pen that would create a financial crisis if misplaced. This entry-level Waterman was just the right price and quality. It is beautiful and looks much more expensive. The nib is gold and silver tone and is just so impressive. It has a substantial but comfortable weight overall. I am proud to use this pen during meetings with my clients. So far I have only tried it with the blue ink cartridge that was included with the pen. It has already lasted a long time. I also separately purchased a bottle of black ink and a converter that will allow me to refill the ink many times. The pen comes with a sturdy box that could double as a carrying case or as a holder to keep the pen upright when it is being stored. I was concerned that the pen might leak if I carried it around but I have taken it with me on many meetings and it has not leaked a single drop. 5
